A cross-border cluster that fosters smarter, greener, and more resilient agri-logistics. This is the main goal of the project AgriLogistiCluster project, officially commenced with a dynamic kick-off meeting held on 18 September 2025 at the Preveza Chamber in Greece. The event brought together all partners from Greece and Italy to set the foundation for a groundbreaking cross-border cluster in the agri-logistics sector.
Representatives from the Preveza Chamber, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Airports of Puglia, CNA Bari, and the Greek-Italian Chamber of Commerce of Thessaloniki, along with representatives from the Joint Secretariat (JS), engaged in a full day of presentations, strategic planning, and collaboration.
The meeting opened with a welcome from the President of the Preveza Chamber and an intervention by the JS Coordinator and the JS Project Officer. After the presentation of the project work plan, presentations and discussions covered the implementation methodologies of the Work Packages proposed by partners. The partnership focused on the Strategy for the development and modernization of the agri-logistic services in the Programme Area and the Action Plan for the establishment of the “Cross-border cluster in agri-logistic sector.
The collaborative approach taken during the kick-off reflects the shared commitment to improving supply-chain performance and fostering economic cooperation across borders. Through pilot projects, capacity building, and the transfer of best practices, it will strengthen economic ties between Greece and Italy while supporting EU sustainability goals.
