The role of digitisation in preserving and revitalising theatrical heritage as a living cultural asset was the focus of the event held on 16th February 2026.
ARCHILIVES Project Info Day was successfully organised in Agrinio by the Municipal and Regional Theatre of Agrinio (PP3), at the Municipal Council Hall (former Bank of Greece building).
The event was honoured by the presence and welcome addresses of the Mayor of Agrinio, Mr Georgios Papanastasiou, the President of DIPETHE Agrinio, Mr Andreas Skartsaris, and the Artistic Director, Mr Lefteris Giovanidis. The ARCHILIVES project was presented by Ms Maria Kourkouni, Communication Manager, who outlined the project objectives, digitisation actions, metadata and platform development, the AR Landing Room and the Physical Set-Up, as well as the expected impact on local cultural development.
A panel discussion followed under the theme “DIPETHE Agrinio as a Driver for Strengthening the Local Cultural Product”, with the participation of Mr Lefteris Giovanidis and Ms Spyridoula Marousi, moderated by Ms Theodora Tsokou, Project Technical Advisor.
The event highlighted the importance of cross-border cooperation and the role of digitisation in preserving and revitalising theatrical heritage as a living cultural asset.
