The Bio-District App project, promoting sustainable organic farming through an innovative bio-district model, was officially launched at CIHEAM Bari on 24-25/09/2025.
Co-financed by the Interreg VI-A Greece–Italy 2021–2027 Programme, the project strengthens cooperation among communities, farmers, and institutions to build resilient rural economies rooted in territorial values.
Partners include CIHEAM Bari (Lead), the Lame Bio-District Association, the Regional Agency for Irrigation and Forestry Activities, the Agrifood Partnership of Western Greece, InnoPolis – Centre for Innovation and Culture, and the Municipality of Ancient Olympia. Running from June 2025 to June 2027, the project will develop a cross-border digital platform with innovative services for organic farmers.
The two-day meeting featured project planning, a field visit to the Lame Bio-District, and valuable guidance from Joint Secretariat members Gianfranco Gadaleta, Maristella Mantuano, and Anca Daniela Simion.
