Biodiversity monitoring app: GreenSentinel project partners met in Sami, Greece, on 9–10 June to discuss the progress of this key project activity. It will support the collection and analysis of environmental data across the participating territories. Partners also exchanged updates on the development of the heat map and the monitoring of BVOCs (Biogenic Volatile Organic Compounds), reviewing progress to date and outlining upcoming activities and next steps.
The meeting was remotely joined by the Programme Joint Secretariat with the guidelines and timeline warnings of the coordinator, Gianfranco Gadaleta and the project officer, Giuseppe Gargano.
The meeting included a dedicated session on communication, where partners shared progress in project promotion and discussed future actions to enhance visibility, stakeholder engagement and the dissemination of results. Also the Programme communication officer, Maristella Mantuano, joined the meeting with some tips and suggestions about storytelling and media relations.
The gathering in Sami provided an important opportunity to strengthen cooperation among partners and reinforce the project’s commitment to innovative approaches for biodiversity monitoring and environmental sustainability.
