National Superintendency for Underwater Cultural Heritage (Taranto) hosted a two-day event of dialogues on blue tourism and underwater cultural heritage within the BlueCulTour project framework.
The II project meeting, on 30 June, gathered partners, institutional representatives and local stakeholders to review the progress achieved and define the next implementation steps. Discussions focused on the development of the Blue Heritage Centres, digital visitor experiences and the enhancement of the three pilot areas.
The I stakeholder meeting, on 1 July, brought together public authorities, tourism operators, diving centres, SMEs, universities and associations, fostering dialogue on sustainable blue cultural tourism and the valorisation of the Ionian underwater cultural heritage.
BlueCulTour promotes cross-border cooperation between Apulia, Calabria and Western Greece to transform underwater cultural heritage into a driver of sustainable regional development.
