Companies4Tomorrow partners had the opportunity to gain insights into leading innovation ecosystems and collaboration models linking research, industry and entrepreneurship during their visit to the University of Calabria’s specialised hubs.
On 15 May 2026, C4T partners visited TechNest, the University’s innovation and entrepreneurship hub, and CAL-TEK, its advanced Industry 4.0 infrastructure.
At TechNest, the consortium learned more about activities supporting startups, technology transfer and university–industry cooperation. Particular attention was given to SMEs’ digital transformation, innovation capacity building and the potential for strengthening cross-border collaboration between Greece and Italy.
The visit continued at CAL-TEK, where demonstrations showcased digital twins, IoT, artificial intelligence, robotics, automation and smart manufacturing systems. The facility illustrated how SMEs can access and test advanced technologies with reduced costs and risks.
The visit reinforced the objectives of the C4T project, highlighting future opportunities for joint training, pilot actions and stronger cross-border innovation networks.
