The CHORA project officially launched with its kick-off meeting in Bari, Italy, on March 31 and April 1, 2026, bringing together representatives from all partner regions of the Interreg VI-A Greece–Italy Programme.
As the Programme’s strategic project on culture, CHORA marks the beginning of a coordinated effort to strengthen cross-border cooperation in the cultural and creative sectors.
Hosted by the Puglia Region – Department of Tourism, Economy of Culture and Valorization of Territory, Lead Partner of the project, the meeting provided a key opportunity for partners from Greece and Italy to align on objectives, activities, and implementation timelines.
CHORA aims to strengthen cross-border cooperation between Greece and Italy in the cultural and creative sectors by creating a network of multifunctional cultural hubs. The project will promote artistic residencies, training for cultural operators, and joint festivals, while supporting the regeneration of cultural spaces and enhancing shared heritage to foster sustainable development and territorial cohesion.
