From 14 to 16 April 2026, Brindisi welcomed partners of the HELIX-SMART project for its 2nd Project Meeting, turning Palazzo Guerrieri into a vibrant space for dialogue, collaboration, and shared vision across borders.
The meeting brought together all project partners: Ionian University (Lead Beneficiary), Chamber of Achaia, Athena RC, University of Foggia, GAL BaTiR and CNA Brindisi (meeting host), allowing all stakeholders to review progress, align on upcoming activities, and strengthen cross-border collaboration under the Interreg VI-A Greece–Italy Programme 2021–2027.
Discussions during the meeting focused on communication and dissemination activities, the mapping of regional ecosystems, and the implementation of Living Labs and knowledge transfer actions. Particular attention was given to engaging local stakeholders in upcoming initiatives, including matchmaking events, training programmes, workshops, and hackathons. The agenda also included a study visit to The Qube incubator and bilateral meetings with Greek partners to coordinate next steps and reinforce cooperation.
HELIX-SMART supports SMEs and freelancers in their digital and sustainable transition, focusing on ICT, tourism, and the blue economy. By fostering collaboration among universities, businesses, and public authorities, the project aims to build a strong transnational ecosystem and enhance digital skills through tools such as Living Labs, an e-learning platform, and advanced digital experimentation solutions.
