Different types of treated water will be tested on young olive trees, generating practical data and shared knowledge to support more efficient water use across territories.
This was the focus of the on field visit in the wastewater treatment plant of Gallipoli (where one of the main pilot actions will be implemented) in the framework of the project ECO FLOW, last 27 may 2026.
The day after Acquedotto Pugliese, lead partner of ECO FLOW, hosted a project event at the Palazzo dell’Acqua in Bari, together with ARIF Puglia, ARTA, Dymaion and the Municipality of Corfu.
Project partners gathered for a two-day event combining a field visit and a project meeting to explore upcoming pilot activities, exchange technical knowledge and discuss how innovative water reuse solutions can be transferred across the cooperation area.
Building on the results of the Re-Water project, ECO FLOW raises awareness of the increasing pressure that water scarcity and climate change place on Mediterranean territories. The project promotes treated wastewater not as a waste product, but as a valuable resource for agriculture, water protection and territorial resilience.
