The Infoday of the European project ENERGIE – Empowering New Energies and Resources in Greece–Italy Area took place on 28 January at the BaLab of the University of Bari Aldo Moro, bringing together citizens, young professionals and local stakeholders.
The event offered an open forum for discussion on sustainable urban regeneration, energy transition and co-design processes as key drivers of territorial development and social innovation.
The Infoday was opened by Pierfelice Rosato, Delegate of the Rector of the University of Bari for Relations with Enterprises and Placement, and Luisa Torsi, President of ARTI Puglia, Lead Partner of the ENERGIE project. Valeria Patruno, Project Manager at ARTI, then presented the project and the international Call for Talents, followed by a Q&A session.
The call aims to select nine international professionals under 35 who will support territorial co-design and co-planning processes in the three ENERGIE pilot areas: Brindisi, Matera and Aigialeia (Western Greece). Selected talents will contribute to the development of integrated solutions for sustainable urban regeneration, heritage enhancement, energy transition and community engagement, in line with the principles of the New European Bauhaus.
During the Infoday, Move to Planet Be, the communication campaign supporting the Call for Talents, was also presented. The campaign invites young professionals to actively engage in shaping new development models based on sustainability, shared vision and participation.
The event concluded with testimonials by Valerio De Luca, founder of BeadRoots, and Barbara Haxhi, co-founder of DIDAP, who shared their international professional paths and their choice to build their careers in Puglia.
