The Interreg Greece–Italy Programme 2021–2027 is organising an Info Day on the 8th Call for Small Scale Project Proposals, which will take place on 16 September 2026 at the Dipartimento di Prevenzione – Ex Baraccamenti Cattolica (Taranto) in a hybrid format, allowing participants to attend either in person or online.
The event will provide potential applicants with an opportunity to learn more about the two parts of the newly launched Call, which aims to support innovative projects addressing shared challenges and implementing the potential of the Greece–Italy cross-border cooperation area.
The 8th Call for Small Scale Projects is divided into two parts:
Part A – €4.46 million
Part A supports projects contributing to:
- SO 2.6 – Promoting the transition to a circular and resource-efficient economy;
- SO 4.6 – Enhancing the role of culture and sustainable tourism in economic development, social inclusion and social innovation.
Part B – €500,000
Part B supports projects contributing to:
- ISO 6.1 – Strengthening the institutional capacity of public authorities and stakeholders;
- ISO 6.4 – Enhancing institutional capacity to implement macro-regional, sea-basin and other territorial strategies.
During the Info Day, participants will receive detailed information on the objectives and priorities of the Call, eligibility requirements, application procedures and key elements of the Applicant’s Package. The event will also offer an opportunity to clarify questions related to the preparation and submission of project proposals.
Eligible applicants can take this opportunity of networking and research on new partners among regional and local public authorities, bodies governed by public law, non-profit organisations established under private law, and European Groupings of Territorial Cooperation (EGTCs) from the Programme area.
The 8th Call is open until 9 October 2026.
