“Interreg: Five Borders, Twenty-Six Regions, One Shared Europe” | 90th TIF | 6 Sept. 2026

The General Secretariat of Partnership Agreement (Hellenic Ministry of Economy and Finance) and the Managing Authority “Interreg 2021-2027” are pleased to invite you to the upcoming event “Interreg: Five Borders, Twenty-Six Regions, One Shared Europe”, taking place in the framework of the 90th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF).

 The event will be held on 6 September, from 12:00 to 13:00 (local time), at Pavilion 13 of TIF-Helexpo.

Dedicated to the five Interreg cross-border programmes managed by the Managing Authority “Interreg 2021-2027”, namely Greece-Albania, Greece-Bulgaria, Greece-Cyprus, Greece-Italy and Greece-North Macedonia, the event will highlight the value of European Territorial Cooperation in fostering sustainable development, regional cohesion and stronger partnerships across borders.

Five borders, 26 regions and one shared ambition: to transform common challenges into opportunities for cooperation, joint solutions and tangible benefits for local communities.

Through five stories of cross-border cooperation, participants will discover how Interreg projects have contributed to improving citizens’ lives, strengthening local economies, protecting the environment, and enhancing cooperation between neighbouring regions. The event will also explore the future of European Territorial Cooperation beyond 2027, opening the discussion on the next generation of cross-border collaboration and its role in building a more connected and resilient Europe.
