ECO FLOW is moving from preparation to action in Gallipoli. On 24 July 2026, an on-site inspection confirmed that the pilot system is ready for the next phase of field experimentation.
Here are the key technical highlights:
- ReWater system: production capacity confirmed at 0.83 m³ of treated water per hour
- Irrigation lines: three separate lines identified, using salinised groundwater, tertiary-treated effluent and quaternary-treated effluent
- Flow checks: drip-emitter flow rates measured to ensure efficient system performance
- Water sampling: samples collected from all three water types for laboratory analysis and comparison
At the same time, the first batch of young olive plants, provided by project partner ARIF, arrived at the pilot site.
With technical checks completed and plants now in place, ECO FLOW is entering full-scale field testing, moving closer to its goal of promoting sustainable, circular and climate-resilient water reuse in Mediterranean agriculture.
