The GreenSentinel project brought together local authorities, researchers and stakeholders to explore solutions for biodiversity protection and environmental sustainability.
On 22 July 2026, an Info Day was held at the Old Slaughterhouses of Aigio, creating a space for dialogue and knowledge exchange. The event showcased the project’s objectives and activities, with a focus on biodiversity monitoring, digital tools and citizen engagement. Experts from the University of Patras and the Chelmos–Vouraikos UNESCO Global Geopark highlighted the value of local ecosystems and the challenges threatening natural habitats.
By fostering dialogue between institutions, the scientific community and citizens, the Info Day strengthened cooperation and promoted shared action for biodiversity conservation across the Greece–Italy area.
