How can innovation ecosystems be effectively measured and improved? On 29 October 2025, HELIX-SMART brought stakeholders together in Corfu to take the first step towards designing the GR-IT Innovation Ecosystem Evaluation & Assessment Tool.
The session introduced the project’s approach to assessing regional innovation ecosystems through nine thematic dimensions. Participants attended a practical demonstration of the assessment tool and contributed to an open discussion, providing valuable feedback on its usability and relevance.
As the project progresses, additional Focus Groups will be held in Patras and Brindisi to evaluate future changes following the first Focus Group.
The insights gathered during the Focus Groups will support the refinement of the assessment methodology, ensuring that the tool accurately reflects the needs and challenges of regional innovation ecosystems in the Greece–Italy cross-border area.
