The italian Department for Cohesion Policies and the South has published a notice of interest from qualified freelancers seeking registration on the italian national roster of first-level controllers for Interreg programs with Italian participation, included Interreg VI-A Greece-Italy 2021-2027.
The roster is a centralized tool that simplifies the selection of professionals responsible for verifying and certifying expenditure in European Territorial Cooperation projects.
External freelancers who meet the requirements of integrity, professionalism, and independence may apply. Specifically, candidates must have been registered for at least three years in Section A of the Register of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts or, alternatively, in the Register of Statutory Auditors, as well as proven experience in auditing projects co-financed by EU funds and knowledge of applicable European and national regulations.
The application must be submitted exclusively online through the italian national recruitment portal inPA, authenticating with SPID, CIE, CNS, or eIDAS. The online form must be completed, attaching an identity document, an updated CV, and a self-certification declaring that the requirements are met.
For the first year, the notice will remain open from the date of publication until 12:00 noon on December 31, 2025; for subsequent years, it will be active from January 1st to December 31st. At the end of each six-month period, the Department will publish the updated list of eligible professionals on the institutional website and simultaneously on the InPA portal.
Registration on the Roster does not constitute a ranking nor does it automatically entitle you to an assignment. However, it does allow you to be selected, upon request, by Italian public and private beneficiaries of Interreg Programs who have adopted the centralized model to carry out auditing activities. The Department conducts an automated draw from the list of eligible candidates to match the names of beneficiaries requesting an auditor.
For clarifications on the procedure, please send questions to commissione.mista.cte@governo.it at least seven days before the close of the six-month window. Answers to questions will be published in FAQ format on the Department’s website and on the InPA portal.
