Project Summary

The 4helixAquaCultureNet project aims to transform the aquaculture industry at an interregional level by establishing a cross-border 4helix Network connecting Aquaculture SMEs, Research & Academia, Public Authorities, and Civil Society.

Key objectives include:
a) facilitating innovation and technology transfer,
b) increasing international presence of aquaculture SMEs,
c) promoting sustainable practices,
d) fostering aquaculture-tourism collaboration,
e) addressing climate change impacts.

Goals & Results
The project targets several key outcomes to strengthen the aquaculture sector, including:
Establishing a "4helix Cross-border Aquaculture Network".
Creating a smart e-aquaculture hub offering information, e-training, and networking.
Developing an e-handbook with eco-friendly and advanced techniques.
Promoting aquatic products.
Enhancing research, innovation, and technological advancement.
Supporting innovation through new public strategies and policies.
Raising awareness and training stakeholders and SMEs.
The project promotes a sustainable, innovative aquaculture sector by connecting stakeholders, providing digital tools, and advancing research, policy, and public engagement.

Outputs
4helixAquaCultureNet revitalizes aquaculture by creating a cross-border network uniting SMEs, academia, public authorities, and civil society.
It aims to:
a) facilitate innovation and tech transfer,
b) boost SMEs' global engagement,
c) implement sustainable practices,
d) support aquaculture-tourism synergies,
e) mitigate climate change effects.

The project delivers innovative, cross-regional solutions beyond current practices, aligned with the 4helix model and RIS3 strategies, enhancing cooperation across the aquaculture supply chain.
