The "BIO-DISTRICT APP" project aims to advance sustainable and resilient organic farming practices and tools in the target region and at the cross-border level. This objective will be pursued through the adoption of a bio-district approach, within which innovative digital services will be developed using the Living Labs methodology and delivered through a common digital platform across Italian and Greek regions.
The partnership involves CIHEAM Bari, LAME Biodistrict Association, Regional Agency for Forestry and Irrigation, Agrifood West, Innopolis, and the Municipality of Ancient Olympia.
The project seeks to achieve the following expected results:
- Strengthen the resilience of the organic farming sector by facilitating cooperation and knowledge-sharing among stakeholders within bio-districts. The project will empower local communities and actors to adapt to economic and environmental challenges, reinforcing the resilience of the entire target region.
- Promote synergy between organic farming, territorial values, and bio-districts, contributing to the long-term sustainability and prosperity of the cross-border regions, with a special focus on citizens.
Develop and implement a common digital platform offering innovative services that will enhance the organic agriculture sector in the target regions.
At the technical level, all partners will be actively involved in the core activities of the project, each contributing according to their expertise and experience.
