PR.O.GR.E.S.S is a cross-border initiative that brings Italy (Puglia and Calabria) and Greece (Achaia) together to break barriers for people with disabilities (PWDs). Its mission is simple but powerful: to make education, training, and work more inclusive and accessible for everyone.
The project tackles real challenges that PWDs face in daily life—limited access to training, difficulties entering the job market, and a lack of adapted digital tools. By combining research, innovation, and collaboration, PR.O.GR.E.S.S is shaping solutions that open new opportunities.
What does this mean in practice?
- Better training for better jobs: A new inclusive framework will make both online and in-person learning accessible, helping PWDs build employability skills and confidence.
- Smart use of technology: From digital tools to home automation, the project explores innovative ways to support smart working and independent living.
- Cross-border teamwork: Italy and Greece will share knowledge, match skills with employer needs, and test real-life solutions through pilot projects.
- Clear guidelines for inclusion: The results will lead to common standards and practical recommendations that improve how public and private systems support PWDs.
Through pilots, joint platforms, and shared practices, PR.O.GR.E.S.S is not just about policy—it’s about people. By giving PWDs the tools and opportunities to learn, work, and thrive, the project paves the way for stronger, more inclusive communities on both sides of the Ionian Sea.
