New IVY reporter in our Programme. SEALIFE project welcomes Marika Maruccia, its 24-year-old first IVY Volunteer! She has just joined the team of the Parco Naturale Regionale Costa Otranto – Santa Maria di Leuca e Bosco di Tricase through the Interreg Volunteer Youth initiative.
In her role she will support the project’s communication and dissemination activities, helping to share its results and messages from a fresh, youth-driven perspective. Her contribution will also support broader awareness-raising efforts on the protection of marine and coastal biodiversity, with a special focus on the Mediterranean monk seal and the conservation of its natural habitats.
This engagement further reinforces SEALIFE’s commitment to youth participation and local involvement, highlighting the concrete role young people can play in European cooperation and environmental protection across the Greece–Italy cooperation area.
