The Managing Authority of Interreg Greece-Italy Programme is launching the 8th Call for Small Scale Project Proposals / PART B – Interreg Specific Objective 6.1 “Institutional capacity of public authorities” and Interreg Specific Objective 6.4 “Institutional capacity of public authorities and stakeholders to implement macro-regional strategies and sea- basin strategies”, with a budget of 500.000,00 EUR (EU & National Funds). The EU contribution is 75% and the project co-financing is 25% of the total eligible costs. Geographical coverage of the call extends to 6 regions from 2 EU countries, Greece and Italy.
The present 8th Call – PART B concerns small scale project proposals as foreseen in the Programme Document, in the context of ISO 6.1 “Enhance the institutional capacity of public authorities, in particular those mandated to manage a specific territory, and of stakeholders” and ISO 6.4 “Enhance institutional capacity of public authorities and stakeholders to implement macro-regional strategies and sea- basin strategies, as well as other territorial strategies”.
In the context of the present Call, the eligible beneficiaries are the following:
- Regional and/or Local public bodies;
- Bodies governed by public law (as defined in Article 2(4) of Directive 2014/24/EU);
- Bodies governed by private law, non-profit organisations founded according to private law;
- European Groupings of Territorial Cooperation (EGTC)
The present Call intends to support small-scale cross-border initiatives in which relevant institutions cooperate to make border regions more resilient to common challenges, find shared solutions and to exploit the untapped growth potential in border areas, while enhancing the cooperation process for the purposes of the overall harmonious development of the Union.
The description of Programme priorities and objectives, together with exemplary actions, is provided for in chapter 2 of the Interreg Programme (IP) available at the Programme website, which defines the Programme strategy and Intervention Logic for Interreg VI-A Greece-Italy Programme 2021-2027 as adopted by the European Commission.
Project applicants are invited to submit their detailed proposals (Application Form with all mandatory documents) under one (1) Specific Objective of the Programme and under one (1) Intervention Categories, exclusively via MIS. The project objectives and the proposed activities shall be clear and in-line with the Programme priorities, contribute to the achievement of Programme indicators and both shall have an impact on Greece-Italy area.

Managing Authority, no later than twenty (20) calendar days before the deadline for the submission of proposals.
The date for the submission of the Application Form via MIS is:
- from 29/07/2026 (start date for submission of proposals), time 14.00 Eastern European Time (CET+1)
- until, exclusively, 09/10/2026 (deadline for submission of proposals), time 14.00 Eastern European Time (CET+1).
