The NATURES project aims to strengthen institutional cooperation between the two countries, improve the effectiveness of conservation measures, and promote the protection of priority species and natural habitats. By fostering shared approaches and knowledge exchange, NATURES intends to contribute to a more integrated and sustainable model of environmental governance in the Adriatic area.
The kick-off meeting of the NATURES project took place at Palazzo Guerrieri in Brindisi on October 13th 2025.
As Lead Beneficiary, the Management Consortium of Torre Guaceto, hosted partners from Italy – National Park of Aspromonte and National Park of Sila – and from Greece – Natural Environment and Climate Change Agency (NECCA). The meeting was an opportunity to align priorities, share experiences, and define common methodologies that will guide the implementation of NATURES project activities. A spirit of collaboration characterized the discussions, reflecting the partners’ commitment to building a shared model of cross-border environmental governance.
The meeting in Brindisi marked an important step toward building a long-term collaboration between Italian and Greek entities, united by a common commitment to safeguard the natural heritage for present and future generations.
