Smarter, more sustainable farming is taking root in Western Greece, where TAGsTwo monitoring stations have been installed and checked in selected pilot areas under real agricultural conditions.
The Greek pilot network spans Katochi and Stamna in Aetolia-Acarnania, Aigialeia and the University of Patras fields in Achaia, with olive cultivation at all four sites. Monitoring infrastructure adapted to different field conditions connects research with the realities of farming.
These installations lay the groundwork for collecting field data to feed the project’s Decision Support System (DSS), designed to support farmers with recommendations for irrigation, fertilisation and crop protection.
By connecting field observations with practical decision support, TAGsTwo aims to help farmers use resources more efficiently and strengthen the sustainability of olive cultivation.
