Smarter and more sustainable farming starts at the pilot site in Calabria, where CETMA has installed its first advanced monitoring technologies within the TAGsTwo framework.
The pilot combines smart soil sensors and weather stations that continuously monitor key environmental parameters, including soil moisture, temperature and leaf wetness, with drone flights using Near-Infrared (NIR) imaging to assess tree health and vigor from above. This integrated approach provides a comprehensive picture of crop conditions in real time.
All collected data will be integrated into the Decision Support System (DSS), an intuitive digital platform designed to support farmers with data-driven recommendations for irrigation management and sustainable crop protection.
By transforming field data into practical insights, TAGsTwo is helping farmers improve productivity, optimize resource use and strengthen the resilience of Mediterranean olive and citrus cultivation.
