The University of Patras, as Lead Partner, proudly hosted the Kick-Off Meeting of the TAGsTwo project on September 16 & 17, 2025 at the Conference & Cultural Centre, launching a new era of cross-border cooperation in the agrifood sector. The project, co-funded by the Interreg VI-A Greece-Italy 2021-2027 Programme, will strengthen research, innovation and technological capacities to support a greener, smarter and more resilient agrifood ecosystem.
Over two days, we:
● Presented the project’s vision, innovation model and roadmap,
● Introduced pilot actions in Western Greece and Calabria (Italy),
● Defined roles and deliverables across all partners,
● Laid the foundation for the Cross-Border Inoovation Hub in agrifood and precision farming.
As the Lead Partner, the University of Patras is committed to leveraging advanced technologies – drones, sensors, AI, Decision Support Systems (DSS), Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Soil Carbon Sequestration (SCS) – to transform agriculture into a sustainable and innovative sector.
