The first two infodays to present the first call for ordinary projects have been successfully concluded: online the presentation materials
More than 200 participants attended the two infodays to present the first call for common projects of the Interreg VI-A Greece-Italy 2021/2027 Programme: the first one took place in Policoro in the Heraclea Hotel, in cooperation with Basilicata Region; the second one in Regional Cittadella in Catanzaro in cooperation with Calabria Region.
Two days of intense work in which representatives of local institutions, of the economic and social partnership as well as several stakeholders of the new Italian eligible areas took part in order to know the funding opportunities of the call for proposals that makes available 45 million euro to give the possibility to national, regional and local public bodies, public law bodies, private law bodies and non-profit organisations to develop projects in the following areas of interest:
Priority 1: Strengthening cooperation for a smarter and more competitive Greece-Italy area;
Priority 2: Strengthening cooperation for a greener and low-carbon Greece-Italy area;
Priority 3: Strengthening cooperation for a more social and inclusive Greece-Italy area.
During the two working days, many speakers took the floor: the representatives of the Managing Authority structure at the Ministry of Finance of the Hellenic Republic – Eva Karagianni, Nikoletta Tatari, Ioanna Kalaitzoglou, Marco Doglia, Head of the Italian Department for Cohesion Policies, the Coordinator of the Joint Secretariat of the Interreg Greece Italy – Gianfranco Gadaleta, the Communication Officer of the programme – Carmela Sfregola, Paolo Galletta of the Territorial Cohesion Agency and Claudio Polignano, delegate of the Puglia Region.
Massimiliano Padula, Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Policoro, welcomed the participants together with Antonio Bernardo, Manager of the Basilicata ERDF Operational Programmes Managing Authority Office, who organised the event; Felice Iracà, Regional Manager of the Unitary Programming, was the host in Calabria.
Michele Busciolano, Head of Cabinet of the Basilicata Region, brought greetings from President Bardi of Basilicata Region; this was followed by greetings from Piero Marrese, President of the Province of Matera.
The application selection process consists of two phases. Phase A, which will last 45 days, involves the submission by potential beneficiaries of a concept note consisting of a brief overview of the project idea and containing information on: the composition of the partnership; proposed actions and Programme indicators; budget of the actions; eligibility of beneficiaries; added value of cross-border cooperation; correlation with the specific objectives of the call. Selected projects will proceed to Phase B.
Each project must have a partnership of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6 partners operating in the regions of the Programme area.
The budget to be allocated to each project will range from a minimum of EUR 900,000 to a maximum of EUR 2.5 million, with a minimum budget for each partner of EUR 150,000. Projects will have a maximum duration of 24 months. Project proposals can only be applied for through the Management Information System (MIS) of the Programme upon request of a “Body Code”.
